Man to live on scissor lift to raise mone
Lt. Gov. Brad Owen will be on hand when Evergreen Christian Community's children's specialist, John Miller, begins a seven-day stint on a scissor lift to raise money for children's charities.
Miller will live on a scissor lift for 168 hours about 50 feet in the air starting at 5 p.m. Sunday; he plans to stay up in the air until 5 p.m. Aug. 10.
His goal is to raise $50,000 for Northern Asia's Compassionate Touch and Community Care Services.
Donation checks can be written to Evergreen Christian Community, or bring a cash donation to the church at 1000 Black Lake Blvd. on Olympia's west side while Miller is up in the air.
