Lift Rentals - Which Model Should I rent?
What Scissor Lift Model Should I Rent?
When deciding on which model of a scissor lift to rent - consider these main features first:
Fuel: Electric, Gas or Diesel
The diesel or gas powered scissor lifts are better suited for outdoor uses and are often referred to as rough-terrain lifts. Electric Scissor lifts are most commonly used indoors because they are less noisy.
Height:
The most important consideration is the height you need to reach. Most lifts can reach 20 to 50 feet
For higher heights - look at Man Lifts or Boom Lifts.
Find Boom Lift Rentals.
Weight:
Most scissor lifts can carry 500 to 2,000lbs lifting capacity.
Location:
An important consideration when choosing a scissor lift is where it will be used. Scissor lifts may be gas or electric powered. For instance, rough-terrain scissor lifts are diesel powered and good for outdoor use, but cannot be used inside. For inside uses such as in factories and warehouses, electric scissor lifts are ideal due to their absence of noise and emissions.
Deciding on your Equipment Requirements:
If you know your height, weight, and location for use - finding the right model will be easier. A rental company or manufacturer can help you once you know these basic requirements.
